I just saw the post of eileen gu where shes advertising some tiffany bullshit. I have in general the feeling that these brands get more in action sports f.e. Prada makes ski contests with red Bull, Prada makes ads which include sk8boarding or OKX which is an online broker i think, sponsors snowboarders. I just hope this trend doesnt continue. These brands belong to fucking polo tournaments and not skiing

There's other luxury brands (e.g. cars) that market to the ski community because, whelp, it is a rich person sport. Then consider half the people on this site are rocking a daily setup (skis, boots, bindings, poles, outerwear, goggles, helmet, pack, etc) that costs thousands of dollars collectively. Luxury brand doesn't mean bad quality either. Shit, chances are, their stuff is better quality.

Bro candide is the goat and its not about women. Im from Europe and skiing is still a sport for richer people but its affordable. I pay around 30€ (32 us dollar) for a daypass. I think freestyle skiing is lifestyle where luxury brands dont really fit in. Theire just statussymbols no freestyle skier would rock in the region im from.

Yup. Crazy that with all the money in the sport so little trickles down to the athletes with the advance in drones, technology, tv quality it should be on par with something slow and boring like golf but isn't.
That said I was at Taos when the minor league freeride world tour circuit passed through and the entire thing was overall awful. It closed down Kachina for 2-3 days. Womens snowboarding and skiing were trash these are just girls with time and money any amateur skier chick who rips is just as good. Mens snowboarding was slow and boring they took the same lines not worth watching at all. You can't sustain a business model where people have to sit through 75% crap to watch the decent stuff the PGA tour doesn't make you watch LPGA tour and book them the same dates and courses. I only watch mens skiing FWT and fast forward through the other 3 on youtube they really need to stop wasting money and focus on what drives views.
So mens skiing happened last of course and it was a day after it was supposed to end so an extra day where the public wasn't riding Kachina to start. Was good not great everyone did the same shit. Towards the end one dude was killing it with a line way better than everyone elses he was easily going to win but then he threw a 5 into some rocks for no reason and didn't move for an hour and basically we had to wait 2 hours watching them scrape him off the hill further delaying access to Kachina.
Prada has had actual ski gear for a bit now. Not just sponsoring people. Granted a lot of it is rebranded items from Oakley annd other. And LV partnered with tecnica to make their ski boots.
Sorry you can't afford it. Buy Prada skis, detune that shit and take em to the streets. It doesn't matter how good they ride, it matters how good you'll look. Maybe get some boot buckles from Tiffany's.

The best part about luxury brand ski gear is that they will never listen to the sales assistant. So they will always be wearing a size too small and going in when it gets cold. That’s why brands like Kjus are all made of their stretchy material. It’s so the fat rich dudes can fit in a Large and brag to their friends. This is a good thing, as the slopes become less crowded.
