KyguyyDon’t wax your skis and DO NOT fall, falling sucks in the fridge
RparrIt's really fun, I used to go to the synthetic snow facility in Virginia each summer but ever since discovering big snow I haven't looked back. The snow is a little different than regular snow, it feels almost closer to sand in terms of consistency. I go every summer when I'm healthy
ThegenericskierSnowflex snowflex snowflex snowflex
RparrI loved snowflex,I went there 6 summers in a row. But it's the same exact distance for me to drive to big snow instead, so I can't justify it anymore. I also have to say, I really despise liberty university where snowflex is located. Bunch of friggin lunatic evangelicals
Farmville420Really? As an outsider it looks kinda soft lol
weastcoatIt is soft. Doesn’t hurt to fall. It’s only icy/firm up at the top where everyone stops before you drop in to the actual park. Other than that it’s super nice honestly.
KilaTsunamiYea I have the season pass cuz I’m close by, it’s so dope. I basically don’t have an off season anymore. They refresh the park weekly, and get creative with their builds. Everyone’s super chill and friendly even tho it’s in New Jersey. AND there’s a mother fucking Yardhouse above it. Put it on your list for sure.

Milf.nokidsWait why not wax? Curious bc I’ve seen the black residue getting in my bases after going there a few times

tzhakihas anyone skied there? how's the snow and park setup? I've been thinking about going some time between now and before the season starts to get a little head start, derust, and have some fun
RparrI'm really curious what they use to groom the place each night. they can't use a traditional grooming machine because it would be too large, and the exhaust probably wouldn't be great in the closed space. I think they use a small electric machine, but I've never seen it
KyguyyI’ve been there a decent amount after 3 summers lol. I waxed the first ever time and was skinning down the slope. Next time and so forth I haven’t waxed and have been golden. There isn’t any humidity in the fridge so maybe the dry base just works with it.
KilaTsunamiThe fridge has super high humidity, but yea NO wax is the way to go. Sometimes the snow sucks bcs the snow never melts, so its just a mash of good and bad snow all the time
tzhakiive heard some people complaining about how the snow can be dirty, how true is that?
KilaTsunamiand people spraying WD40 on their bases to make themselves go faster
KilaTsunamiVery very very true. White underbases turn grey/black after a full 2 hour session. It’s because of outside dirt, and people spraying WD40 on their bases to make themselves go faster and lack of new snow. It’s also possible that the pipes that shoot the snow out are dirty too. Personally don’t care, but I can imagine ppl not being thrilled with having their new under base stained black after just one session lol
RparrWhat in tarnation
tzhakiIs it easy to wash off? The bottoms of my skis are yellow with some white text

Kyguyythe Fridge always leaves a part of itself with you
SethoscopeThe fridge is so dope to ski but you can only buy hour passes in 2 hour increments. I think 2 hours is the "daily"/normal ticket and its like 50 bucks. They make it so the more time you buy the cheaper it is so if you plan on visiting in the future I would definitely get more than 2 hours, it will be cheaper in the long run. The snow was super soft, spring skiing type, and its a super weird experience skiing with no winds or breeze. I had a blast overall.
KilaTsunamiYea get the 6 pass. 6 2 hour blocks for a low price. Also i feel like 2 hours is the perfect amount of time for that place
Milf.nokidsBtw I went yesterday and the 6 pack is on sale rn for labor day. It was $100 which less than half of what I paid for it in June
