I dont have the tools to remove these pivots im trying to sell. Does anyone know of a place that works on skis year round in denver? Also if anyone here is local and has the tools and wants to make some cash that works too
You should really own a screwdriver. Just get one of those multi bit driver things at the hardware store...maybe a t-handle style, grab a Posi-drive bit and you're good to go.
I didn't have a pozi and I needed some pivots off that day and could not find one anywhere. I ran into this "shop" in Denver and the guy was like fill out this paperwork and I can get you in next week and it will be $40.

I wouldn't really call a pozidrive a special screwdriver, it's not like it was designed for the ski industry. They do hold a lot better than normal Phillips head if the screws are really tight.

I suppose ppl really dont wanna strip their screws, but I've used a pretty standard screwdriver to take out bindings for years with no issues, its nice to have a bigger/better screwdriver for mounting, but 9/10 times I'm using a drill to attach bindings.

It takes 2 mins of my day to make you look silly for trying to justify using the wrong tools for the job
idk you seem to care about not only the use of correct tools, but the overall manliness of your fellow skiers. dont worry dude, you're way more of a man than I, or anyone else on this website.
Call me crazy but I swear to god Robertson bits are the best for ski bindings. Paired with a nice impact with a torque setting and a long bit.
something about the point angles on Philips or pozidriv make the bit slip if it’s not perfectly perpendicular to the screw. I think Robbies just sink deeper into the screw head.

You have like 5-10 mins of time to wiggle them into the perfect place before it hardens and to take them off you just get a heat gun and blast em for a few minutes. I never ski when its hot out so I havent had an issue yet
