alpha.mooseDamn, the optics are pretty sick. Anyone know if Rossi actually changed the black ops 118 or if they are just rebranding it as part of the sender series?
.nastyThe black ops 118 is gone, this is the sender free 118 and has essentially the same make up as the 110. The only black ops that will remain is the 98 and will be brought out as the "super black ops" name they started this year, still with a new retro graphic.

Vish-shoeThey say Alex Hall on them
Vish-shoeThat pink/blue/purple is an eyesore.
Not a single ski would look good with that on it.

SeaUrchin123Curious why only the blue colorway has the updated heel and not the other two...
.nastyHex fitting wouldn't work for most binding screws as most have a conical head and hex keys are square in shape from a side profile. You'd only be able to fit a 3mm or 4mm hex key into the head and that's even easier to strip after a lot of use than a pozi fitting. If it were big enough for a 6mm or so then sure, hex would be better but that's not the case. Sure Dynafit uses torx heads on their screws but it's only a T20 which is very small, so I wouldn't necessarily want to see that on all binding screws.
There's lots of techniques to help get a stripped screw head to budge, just have to have patience. In the last 12 years mounting thousands of skis it has only been an issue maybe 3 or 4 times for me, and then that's when you just have to be creative with a dremmel or something. Also getting new pozi's every now and then really helps, as you'd be surprised how often people strip screw heads because their pozi tip is worn out.
Side note, the new pivot 2.0 heel also adds more adjustment for boot soles, due to a new shape in the arms of the upper part of the heel piece. I've heard it can move more like 15mm now as opposed to 7-10mm like the old one.

WittyCongWhat are the white ones? Hard to tell width. New 96's?
.nastyWell out of all the new stuff I saw at the tradeshow yesterday, have to say I'm most hyped on the new Reckoner line from K2. Looks like they're taking construction, out of all the updates, way more seriously. They just look absolutely bomber, and all the graphics are radical.

tdolloCrazy Karl pro model ski from K2 looks dope af.
tdolloSalomon ski will be called the Departe and is 106mm underfoot. Feels much stiffer in person than some of the videos going around. She’s got some backbone to her, definetly a funky shape! Will be on a pair in about a month to review for you guys
