Stay tuned for February, something else is also coming but that's as much as I can say. Salomon might finally be cool again... Which would be great as my dislike for them was never something I wanted but even the rep told me that they're trying to separate themselves from just a brand under Amer sports into their own unique brand again. I've seem them as stagnant for the past at least 5 years (basically since rocker2 went away and qst's came out), so this is a welcome change of pace.
Stoked for Salomon, then. Salomon Snowboards has been killing it for a while with both shapes and construction/materials, I always thought the skis were lagging behind. I’d love to see some progressive shapes with the new QST and Echo constructions!
so, enforcer 110 is dead, and the 104 no longer gets the “free” in the naming-convention. And the enforcer 100 is now 99 underfoot, which says they went through a lot of effort to remake it

Why do ski bindings all utilize Phillips head style screws still? They get stripped so easily and transfer torque poorly, at least ski boot manufacturers have figured out to use hexagonal screws. Bad engineering imo, who cares if Phillips heads are more common, give me something I can’t strip if I have to replace a brake.

Well your first problem is they are all pozi drives not Phillips. It does make a massive difference. Pozi drives have a higher torque ability, but also have small cutouts on the inside "corners". So if you aren't using a pozi you are going to strip them.
Your second problem is that they are #3 pozi drives. Not the same size as a #2 Phillips. Which I would probably guess you're using. So you are basically doubling your chances to strip them.
So yeah you're gunna strip screws if you're using a #2 Phillips. They basically already come stripped if you're using a Phillips. I used to think the same thing till I figured it out.
As for why they don't use hex or star im going to guess it would rock the industry standard + hex or star are more expensive

If I were tightening a screw to a specified torque value, I would agree with you that there are better choices (IMO everything for this purpose should be Torx). But with a binding release value screw, we're not tightening the screw to a specified torque value- we're simply spinning the screw. And for that purpose a #3Pozi driv works perfectly fine. Changing this screw to a Hex-8 or Torx-30 would piss off every ski tech in the entire world for no real benefit.
However, when you look at the above picture of the screw, it looks like a large Hex (8 or 10?) could also turn it...?

Hex fitting wouldn't work for most binding screws as most have a conical head and hex keys are square in shape from a side profile. You'd only be able to fit a 3mm or 4mm hex key into the head and that's even easier to strip after a lot of use than a pozi fitting. If it were big enough for a 6mm or so then sure, hex would be better but that's not the case. Sure Dynafit uses torx heads on their screws but it's only a T20 which is very small, so I wouldn't necessarily want to see that on all binding screws.
There's lots of techniques to help get a stripped screw head to budge, just have to have patience. In the last 12 years mounting thousands of skis it has only been an issue maybe 3 or 4 times for me, and then that's when you just have to be creative with a dremmel or something. Also getting new pozi's every now and then really helps, as you'd be surprised how often people strip screw heads because their pozi tip is worn out.
Side note, the new pivot 2.0 heel also adds more adjustment for boot soles, due to a new shape in the arms of the upper part of the heel piece. I've heard it can move more like 15mm now as opposed to 7-10mm like the old one.

M-Free has been the same for a couple seasons so I figure they would at least do a cosmetic update? Maybe design too?

M-Frees: new hybrid2 core for the 108 (but it does not seem to change other than that - same stated dimensions), the 118 will be replaced by a 112, the 99 stays the same, all get new graphics.
the M-Cross and (I am assuming Lange) Shadow boots were introduced this season and return unchanged for 24/25 as far as I know.

Having a 108 and 112 in the same lineup seems so weird to me, honestly. Literally 4mm, they probably ski the same.
