Replying to Zermatt Recommendations + Advice

There’s been two other threads with only a few replies so posting a new one in case it finds new eyes. My girl and I are going in January and just trying to get some OG recs and advice from folks here.

From what I’ve read so far, Cervinia side is a little mellower (both for general vibes and terrain), Zermatt side is more challenging, more expensive, more “premium”. And with the ikon pass both are available via the express link.

heard the brown cow is a good spot, bar 55 and snowboat are other bars that I’ve seen recommended.

Any other bars, restaurants?

I also heard there’s somewhere on the mountain where you can trade in your skis and ride demos for free from a Swiss ski company? anyone know anything about that?
