RMU Rippah vs Poacher

Has anyone skied both? I can't find much out there on the rippah and I'm wondering how it compares to the poacher. I'm 178cm tall, 185 pounds and really enjoyed the keys but I might be looking for something a little more burly.

I'm just assuming the rippah wouldn't hold up against poachers in durability. That's purely based on the 1600g weight at 175. 185 can't be more then 1750g which is absurdly light for a 98mm ski at that length. Seems like you should probs lean toward poachers, on3p or even edollos. Maybe dm some riders kyle coxworth, mark draper and swadburg all ride the rippah

I’ve ridden both rippas are a prob a good middle ground between keys and poachers they were pretty snappy vs poachers stiff flex

RMU honestly seems more concerned with being a lifestyle brand than a ski company. I would go poacher

L take, seen more support from RMU than handfuls of other ski companies towards skiers and projects

Pretty sure Jacob Belanger and Coxworth were using fairly new Rippahs while Ducky and Jessy were on beat up Poachers in the PBR jam, idk if that helps.

Personally I'd go Rippah if money was no object but the Poacher is the working man's ski and can be found for under $400 no problem.

They're both around the same price on evo rn. Duckys Poachers did hold together way longer than they should've lol.

Rippah is gonna be more fun on rails, lighter swing weight, a touch wider and more rocker. RMU durability isn’t on the same level of K2 but it comes at a price with the significant weight of the poachers. RMU claims 1600g for the 175 Rippah versus the Poachers being about 2050g in the 177. Math on that comes out to about a pound saved on each ski, so pretty significant.

Both are gonna be great just depends if you want light and snappy or heavier and more cambered/durable.

yeah because their whole focus is how they look to the world.

Them defining themselves as "Mountain Culture Company" says it all. But if it gets denver folks in the bar...

This is like saying slopestyle doesn’t care about skiing because they also sell bikes in the summer, who cares if ski businesses have to diversify to pay the bills and feed their athletes
