International Ski Trips - Places to stay and best spots

Hello, I am dedicating a year to traveling the world and want to include some skiing! (Outside of USA)
I mostly want to see if there is anyone out there not in the US that might open to housing a traveler close to a ski resort and would want to ski together or not! I am doing all this traveling alone so am looking to meet like minded skiers and meet some people to lap the park and find some big mountain with!

Or if there is any crews out there getting international this year and might have room for another I would love to chat!
Would really want to get out to northern europe like Ruka just looks incredible also Chile and Japan.

idk if you think it'll be a piece of cake to travel around the world with your ski bag, boots and gear, along with all your clothes. It's expensive and takes a ton of logistical planning. If I were you I would get to a zone, find some homies before or while you're there and rip it with them. Also having some income is always beneficial for the mental while in a foreign land.

you can fit all that you mentioned in one check in bag which isn't that hard to travel with. logistically I agree though, seems like OP is trying to do a lot in one trip. but maybe they're loaded.

definitely recommend japan. don't sleep on NZ either if youre in that neck of the woods

Switzerland.

Engelberg was great when I went a couple years ago. Dying to check out St Moritz. Want to do the Italian resorts near it too Bormio and one of the small ones next to it.

I want to go to Japan to hang out and chill don't need to visit for skiing.

It's just a border-jump for us Americans but Golden, BC and the Powder Highway from Berta to BC changed my entire perspective on skiing, coming from someone who spent most of their life in Utah. I love Utah too, don't get me wrong. But sprawling ranges like the Kootenays with no major city in sight and that drive up from the sea to sky highway was just too much fun. Vancouver seems kinda dope. But I'd rather be farther out like Pemberton
