Did a long distance relationship with my wife for almost 3 years due to my work and her work. We lived exactly 500 miles from each other doorstep to doorstep. I would travel to her more often than she would travel to me but I would make it a point to see her almost every weekend. Whether I drove or rode my motorcycle, I would try and be with her as much as I could. Some weekends I couldnt due to my work schedule but it worked out. Lots of time chasing lines on the road but it is possible with a little bit of effort. Good luck.
Did 4,000 mile away long distance for a bit. It ain’t fun. It’s tough. Don’t really have much advice. Just get through it, make sacrifices, make time for each other.
its all about communication and learning your different communication styles. carve out time for each other and develop a system. if youre gonna be out of service or off your phone for a while communicate that clear and early
If you plan on doing a call/facetime/whatever, honor that time. I tried a distance thing recently and those times weren't honored and it felt like being stood up. Those are your dates now, treat them as such.
