Have you toured on center mounted skis before? It’s really not great IMO the entire ski lifts off the ground every step you take because of the way it’s balanced

It's definitely possible to do without your skis lifting too much but that does happen more easily.
Also makes kick turns a little more awkward.
I do like having so much of the skin behind my foot though for grip on shitty snow.

all of my touring setups have been at center or near center (yea i ski pow switch!! What’s good!!) never really bothered me how the ski was balanced, kick turns are a huge pain in the ass though.

also who’s to say you couldn’t back mount wets

Lol epic. The wet is kind of shaped like a pow ski from like 2001, if you think about it. I walk up the skin track every time though.
