Got some new bindings for my gf. Everything was new from a store but there was this little piece floating around the box. Have no clue what it could be fore. I’m guessing it fell into the box somehow.
many ideas?

Non_State_ActorDid you search the part number?
SchizoSkierBro loves bindings
FaunaSkisThere’s only one loose? Have you looked on the underside if there’s any difference in the binding pieces?
it’s possible it’s just a piece that fell into the box from another binding, wouldn’t be the first time.
bigger question is, this is a track binding, does your gf have skis with the right tracks for attaching the bindings? Also wouldn’t be the first time a shop sold a track binding without checking you had the right tracks on the ski.

Ya it’s the only piece. It does look familiar as if I’ve seen this on something else. It’s for sure not from the bindings themselves. There are absolutely no pieces missing from
them.
the white were her older ones that the afd’s failed on. The black are the new set I got onsale from the house but supposedly shipped from camping world. They were insane dirty when they arrived as if they were sitting in the far back of the warehouse for a long time. And the box was a little banged up so a part falling in was not impossible.
Yes they are atomic vantage c’s so already have the tracks. Just swapping one set of Salomon’s for another.
FaunaSkisYeah definitely a random extra part from the assembly/warehouse floor then.
As for them being on sale, dirty and coming from the back of the warehouse, that’s why I asked whether you had the right tracks for the bindings. binding manufacturers change the tracks and bindings all the time and the skis and bindings get separated and get sold separately without it being clear about the limited compatibility.
Stoked you got a deal for just what you needed though.
