With Vail's international reach, they were able to influence funding to create and release a super virus that would push the world into a lock down. While the impact on the ski industry was initially negative, it was intentional. Jobs moved to remote. Wealthy remote workers flocked to mountain towns. Vacation homes were purchased left and right, boost property values. Outdoor activities were given a new light as people re-evaluated their purpose in life. As a result, profits are up.
