okay im thinking about going to penn state(i live in Va) for architecural engineering, they are 1 of 14 colleges that major in it, the only other place that offers this course and have mtns is boulder colorado(no way my parents want me that far away). so im choosing penn. What is the closest mtn to penn state. Is it that camelback place i keep reading about from their ski team(racers) and snowboard club(im gonna chill with them hopefully if they let me), or blue mtn. Your help will be appreciated. may sure to give driving time estimate.

Tussey Mtn is like, 5 minutes from PSU in the adjacent town. Its probobly pretty comparable to shit you have in VA....which = shitty. As i remember it, 3 trails w/ about 400 straight vertical feet and a catwalk that goes around it.
I seriously doubt they have a park at his point.
Im not sure what the closest is other than that...7 springs is probobly about 2.5 hrs away or so.
Go to CU. It kicks ass out here and costs about the same i think as PSU is out of state. I was accepted to both and chose CU because of the skiing and the fact it IS far away. PSU is a dry campus btw and not as much fun by a longshot as CU. Visit the campus with your folks and let them see how pretty it is and all the activities available here and that might help you sell them.

Tussey is also where PSU trains. Their race team is super gay. gayer than the average race team for sure.
Ive never skiied blue mtn, but im thinking its about 1.5 hrs away.
Go to CU.

Don't go to camel. If you like skiing good park go to Mountain Creek I think it's worth the drive.

Ya go to CU,
If you have to drive over 3 hrs to go to Camelback, Blue, or 7 Springs theres seriously something wrong with that.
Here at CU we have Eldora 20 mins away, A-basin, Loveland, Keystone, Breck, and Copper all 1.5 hrs or less away, and Vail/Beaver Creek 2 hrs away. Steamboat, Aspen 3 hrs away....duh!

Just so ya know... if you're talkin bout main and it being a dry campus, I'd say it is the biggest party school in PA. The valadictorian from my school went up there, maybe honors college and parties his ass of every night. They stumble home drunk and people don't get in trouble for alcohol... with a school that big, how could they control it?? And they have a shitty team for skiing and riding. But CU beats it by far. Try and convince your rents for it if ya can.. PSU is a good school and all, but mtns don't even compare to CU.
