KilaTsunamiBeen hearing a lot of people saying they’re straight up not paying them. Which is both hilarious, and justified.. but how did that pan out for you? Has anyone whose stiffed a parking ticket ever hear back from them/get charged more than the original fine?
bogustEveryone I know who hasn't paid them doesn't have a pass and hasn't gone back since they got the ticket. I do know mount snow has been super shady lately like they pulled my buddies pass on the last day of the year and took his skis when he left them on the rack and wouldn't give them back.
bogustand took his skis when he left them on the rack and wouldn't give them back.
Rparrwait what the fuck? Why? Did they even give any sort of a reason? There must be more to this story, I've never heard of a ski resort stealing skis lmao

KilaTsunamiYea fr also what kinda skis were they? Id be LIVID
SchizoSkierThey might send them to a collections agency which could effect ur credit score
bogustHe made video of it but it looks like he took it down. Essentially he and his friends got their passes pulled for skiing some grass trail on the last day of the season. They then goes to eat lunch off mountain leaving their skis on the rack. When they return the skis are being held behind the customer service desk and the representatives currently their say that they cant tell him why they are holding their skis and won't give them back either. After a while of waiting I think they got their skis back but as far as I remember they eventually got told that mt snow was holding their skis because one of them had two passes on them and they thought he was using a pass that wasn't his own but in the end they were both his passes and one was just inoperable.
KilaTsunamiSee thats what i thought, i knew it wouldn't just be swept under the rug. Good to know, I'd like to know for sure tho. I always pay the stupid fee to avoid the whole "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes" scenario lol
SchizoSkierYea I know breck will send them to collections, I think all vail resorts have the same procedure when it comes to that stuff

SurfaceIsdurableI I got a ticket and have yet to pay it, haven’t been back yet but so far nothing from them
bustedpivotHow do you know this? Did you get a ticket that ended up in collections? Was the fine reduced to a judgment in court before going to collections?

skiermanLOL they don't have to go to court before sending it to collections, you stupid fuck.
bustedpivotDidn't say they did, Einstein.

weatcoastI would have jumped over that goddamn counter and snatched my babies up lmao.

IamcoreIf you all were really core, you would have stopped going to Carinthia when Mount Snow got bought by vail
Fuck corporate skiing, core skiers only ski at independent resorts smh
KilaTsunamiI wish this were doable as a NY skier. Epic pass got the best bang for your buck still..if u wanna clock 30+ days. All the indy mountains parks are sorta buns
IamcoreNot discounting that, just from the perspective of being core, as I am obviously the definition of core, UnAcCePtAbLe!
KilaTsunamiU only brought up the issue again tho, if u were really the definition of core you woulda had some kinda sick ass solution!
IamcoreYour solution is to exclusively ski street, you're welcome.
BackWoods420Haven’t been to Mt. snow for a few seasons, can someone give me a summary of what happened/when this started. Was thinking about buying a pass and hitting them up next season.
KilaTsunamiI wanna say that’s kinda unrealistic, but since you’re doin the whole “definition of core” bit… I have to say that’s about as C as it gets, Nice work.
KilaTsunamiStill an awesome facility, its just they got bought out by Vail, and Vail came in and changed a lot of things that people aren't happy about. Like the parking is now 15-30 dollars when it used to be free, and the terrain parks aren't as great as they used to be... having said that, the park crew still does an awesome job with what they're allowed to do.
BackWoods420Ah interesting. I was there the season right after they got bought out. I was looking at the jumps and just thinking to myself, I swear to god these were bigger last year.
Based on this thread it seems like Mt Snow is not worth a 3 hour drive, compared to just going to Loon(2 hours) or going to Kilington (3 hr 5 min) instead now, but correct me if I am wrong.

KilaTsunamiNope, you're right. They were bigger. I've been told that someone died on the Inferno jumps (Massive) and that's why they don't put them out anymore. As for the drive, I take a 3 1/2 hour ride there multiple times a month but i also have lots of friends, a place to crash for free, and a lot of memories there so its basically home for me. i never been to Loon but i hope one day i can. And Killy isnt on my Epic pass so thats never gonna happen, although i do very much appreciate the Subaru VIP parking lmao
BackWoods420I’m likely going to peer pressured into buying both ikon and epic passes. My wallet is super fucking happy about that one. For the Subaru vip parking, is it just have a subaru park up front? I saw like bmws and random cars parked there and assumed it was just a marketing gimmick for paid parking.
KilaTsunamiKeep me posted chief.
