im looking at buying some skis that are non symmetrical by a small amount like -10 in the back would it be bad to center mount them based on measurements? Or is that just a myth ?

I kinda had a stroke reading this, but if -10 is the recommended mount point I would absolutely not mount them center

No sorry I worded it weirdly ski measure 10cm less wide in the tails than the tips

My camoxes are 12 wider in the tip than the tail and are center mounted due to unfortunate circumstances, they ski alright but I would much rather have the recommended mount
What skis are these anyways

mm, not cm. Had a mini stroke tryna figure out what you were talking about

and unless you’re skiing nothing but rails I would mount like -2.5. And if you are skiing nothing but rails, there are better skis for that purpose

I have a pair of Camox's mounted at -2.5cm and I like it way more than recommended, but I can see dead center being too far forward. I ended up at 2.5 back from center by measuring the center of the hard snow contact point and the sidecut and it ended up there
