I'm running on a set of J Skis Masterblasters that I bought in 2017 and they're still rock solid. Don't do rails mind, but they have seen a lot of park and hard skiing round the mountain and there is no sign of any delimitation anywhere. I normally get about 60-80 days a season. For perspective I had a pair of Atomics before them and they had the top coat delaminating at tip and tails from the landings of kickers. The atomic also had a screw pull out on a fall on a XL kicker. They were 5 years old when they went to the farm in the country. Reckon you would not go wrong on J Skis planks. J Lev (owner of J Skis) was the lad the start Line up if you've never heard of them.

On3p dawg. ive had friends ride them for 2+ seasons and days in the street and they have been perfectly ridiable.

Learn how to fix your skis, boom all skis are durable. Ski durability is mainly about how you ride and take care of your skis. All skis are gonna get clapped eventually

Have a pair of these myself, just got em last year in the end of season sales 400 notes UK with Look Pivot 14 on. Nice planks but I do prefer the J Skis, stronger ski in the turn, and ride pow better too.

IMO avoid buying skis with well-known durability problems, keep em waxed, try to let them dry out after skiing, dull your edges if you hit rails, and get good at epoxy and p-tex fixes and you should be okay

But if I can get 4 years out of my Allplays before I go partially edgeless I’d rather do that than fully blow the sidewall out of some chronics within the first week

There are no “durable” park skis. Some last longer than others but they all will get destroyed.

I'd say you're right if you spend time on rails, otherwise there are some better than others.

I think some people are naturally just a little softer on rails. I’m a little lighter on rails. I am super sensitive to drag and edge sticking. If I feel resistance, I’m more likely to detune my skis more and bevel edges and gummy stone as opposed to riding until they don’t feel bad anymore. Meanwhile I have friends who just absolutely thrash edges

Saying any ski will break in park use, durability is a hoax is such a brain fart. Yes, it is partially true but it's also mostly bullshit. It's like saying you can't choose the way you die so there's no point trying to live healthy.

There are skis which explode left and right in any circumstances. Most likely for a reason. These often are in the cheaper end of the spectrum, but not always.

There are skis which have gained a reputation in being more durable than others. Most likely for a reason. These often are in the more expensive end of the spectrum, but not always.

There also are people who take care of their skis in every possible way (maintenance, damage repair, and practically everything the ski sees when it's not skied).

There also are a shit ton of people who abuse their skis on and off the hill and do everything in their power to lessen the longevity of their skis while also bitching about the shitty quality of their gear on the internet.

There's also a ton of more delicate variables in this, but even these few parts of the equation can get you very different results.

Yeah I think OP is perfectly aware that no park ski lasts forever.

That being said, ON3P is as good as it gets. I'm done skiing anything else.

I think its like getting on smoothly and with less impact. Once youre on the rail you cant change that, but if theres consistently less impact from getting on I think it helps
