Mounting Blade Optic 96's Forward

I have some 184 Blade Optic 96's I've been skiing all season at +1. Been using them as my Vermont ski, with park and slush duties too (loved them this year). Been thinking recently, as it gets a little less icy and a little more park-y, of moving them up more. The tail's can feel a little short behind me, I'm 6' 190 so I can get over them but as long as I'm pretty centered they ski well in

Formatting got wrecked - anyone have success (or failure) mounting at +2.5 or +3? Don't want to mess with the camber / sidecut.

For some reason using the little "lesser than/greater than" arrow things nukes the rest of your post on this forum. I assume you used them to indicate the amount of snow judging from context?

on the money lol, was trying to say less than 12 inches. Didn’t want to completely blow up soft snow performance, but it’s a quiver ski so not super important. Would happily trade some drivability as long as it’s not uncarvable at +2.5

They will definitely carve fine at +2.5. I rode the 104 and 114, both at +4.5 from recc and they still carved great skied with a centered stance. In general, I think they ski best from the center of the ski so bumping the mount forward a bit makes very little difference in that regard. You'll lose some float but that's not why anyone skis a 96mm ski...

Thanks! Yah already feel like I carve them from a centered stance, and when the stance has been really dialed they almost had shades of the Mirus Cor I was on last spring (maybe that’s an exaggeration but damn can they carve a soft groomer in a tight turn).




Does this mean we have roofbox reviews on the wider guys coming this year? Ahaha
