Just stumbled across this brand on Instagram. Thought the designs and cut looked similar to Dope. Website looks similar too. Also, from Sweden. My money is it’s another dope company like Montec. They just rinse and repeat.

unfortunately the casual tourist skiers market is hardcore buying that stuff. every resort i go to i see it very prominently. they are making bank. at least there paying their team decently because of that from what goes around the scene.

How do you feel about top riders like Jesper skiing for them? I’m about “”core”” brands as much as the next guy, but at some point you gotta get paid, especially in a sport with such a high injury rate

i'll be honest and transparent here:
At first i looked funny at dope, primarily because of their approach and initial clothing line. Then they started to pick up friends of mine and bigger pro's and i've gained some insights.
Overall i'm thinking of it this way:
I'm more then stoked for anyone that has a brand they can get signed by and work with in a true collaborative manner.
Let's be real, jesper didn't sell out, he is still who he is and does what what he does for the scene and takes part in any core event. He never changed in my opinion and is continuously charging hard. Good for him to have dope backing him with custom clothings in form of pro models and surely some financial funding on top. Strong support like that is very rare to come by in this industry, especially today.
This whole concept of core and not core can escalate pretty wildly in discussions and i don't think there is a clear answer to it. But In my opinion the athlete's choices and actions in combination of these of the companies describe the coreness some are describing or seeking.
At the end of the day if any company is willing to pump resources into a freeskier that is able to use them in order to push their own agenda like movies, edits and competing - they are trying to be core or at least not hurting the scene at all because doing so is supporting the scene through the output of the signed athlete and ultimately creating value for our sport.
I and matter of fact we could and should care less what an other person wants to buy or wear while minding their own business

Very well said. At the end of the day, freeskiing isn't what it used to be so any money being pumped in is a plus.
