eheathyeah i was just giving you shit because gen z was an awful description of the age range you're talking about. steepsteep isn't a skier though, jesper/some other popular skier on tiktok is probably the closest comparison right now.
but, idk if youve been to this place called newschoolers.com where everyone hates dope/montec, how can you even compare that to saga/first drop? we're living in a completely different era of the ski industry, social media outreach is massive, skiing is more popular than ever, that far surprasses the niche of skiers who bought saga in 2009.

ajbskiNot to date my self here, but I once bought a pair of rich faheys liberty helixes on newschoolers, the ones he used in slamina.
I put old pivots I found at thrift shop, skins (which cost like an arm and leg at the time) and alpine trekkers. I was beyond stoked and ready to hit the back country. Only problem was that I lived in Ontario.
The OGs at the time probably thought I was some stupid poser (which I was). So what is considered core now was probably hated on by the previous generation.
dope montec or baggy pants and vishnus will probably be considered core by the next generation.
