I’m really asking if people like to go out and if there are some medium sized functions. I dont like huge parties especially at frats

I didn't go to mines but work with a handful of engineers from mines, most all of them are turbodorks. Great school and great guys but I'm not sure how much they get out. The guy/girl ratio is pretty bad. That all said there's a ton to do and you'll have a good time no matter what. Tour it if you can.

I went to Mines. Didn't even finish and went to Metro State after. However, half a ME degree from there got me my foot in the door with an entry level engineering job, and now I make bank and can fund my international rockstar pro skater lifestyle without having to worry about sponsors. Would highly recommend if you're number one thing is to be conscientious of your future.

Don't go anywhere that doesn't have an ABET accredited program. Check the ABET website. I make good money, but still way less than I would for someone doing the same job who has a PE license.

Only about 25% of the students are socially normal. I thought I was one of them, but I still struggle in the real world lol.

You can party your ass off at Red Rocks, and Denver is just one big bar anymore. If you're really jonsing for a college house party, you can just drive up to Boulder college hill on any Saturday night and follow a group of people into a rager house party. From my experience, the Boulder students would be all over the Mines students cuz they're turned on by the "naughty nerd crashing a party" or thought we would be making bank someday.

Also, take the CLEP Exams and dual enroll in Comunity College. Max out your transfer credits. The first and second year classes are Weed out classes, and you should just try to skip over them.

The skiing in Colorado is known for its powder and big mountains, which makes it a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders.

On the other hand, the University of Vermont is located in Burlington, Vermont, which has a thriving ski culture. The skiing in Vermont is known for its tree skiing and smaller mountains, which makes it a great destination for skiers who like a more intimate and natural experience on the slopes.

Ultimately, it depends on what you value more: better skiing or better culture. If you prioritize skiing above all else, then Colorado School of Mines might be the better choice for you. However, if you want to be part of a strong ski culture, then the University of Vermont might be the way to go.
