How the fuck is using a drivers license/state issued ID or an SSN for a mail in ballot limiting peoples abilities to vote. Every US citizen has one. Guess you want illegals. The argument that requiring these makes voting harder is a bunch if bullshit.

For instance, for a long time Wisconsin policy allowed for active duty military ID cards but prohibited VA ID cards. Explain the logic there. Thankfully someone saw the hypocrisy there and changed it. But the point is, you have antiquated and hypocritical policies in place. There's no consistency.

It's not "free" or for some, "easy". That's why it's controversial. I believe there is a middle ground to be found on the topic but that's a longer conversation.

There is absolutely no excuse to not have a registered Identification on you at all times. They require one when you enter a hospital. If you get emergency care and you end up not having an ID you have to legally prove your identification. why the fuck can't they require one at a voting booth?

1. An SSN doesn't provide anything but name and a number. There's no photo identification or anything. So that alone would be worthless as a form of ID.

Furthermore, I I would reckon ~90% of the country doesn't even know how to validate whether an SSN is real or fake. I can only imagine that chaos that would cause.

It's assuming the following:

1. A voter has a normal working schedule that fits within traditional polling hours.
2. They have access to transportation that fits within their working schedule.
3. The individual understands the rights afforded to them when it comes to voting.

Most political scientists would argue those three items are the biggest hindrances to low-income voters; they do not work traditional hours when polling centers are open, they do not have normal access to transportation given these working hours, and do not know what rights are afforded to them.

Right. Reality and data say otherwise. The fact of the matter is, the GOP is making life more difficult for voters, but more specifically voters who tend NOT to vote for them. Those voters tend to use drop-boxes, early mail-in voting, or absentee voting.
