Looking at upgrading from my 200L LL bean bag i’ve had for too long, anyone know what their preferred size is? I’d like a duffel/pack for boots, helmet, and jacket/pants to fit. thinking around 35L would be perfect.
Too small? Is 30L enough? Help me.

Unless you're a midget there's no way you fit all of this in a 35L bag.
I have a 50L dakine bag and can barely fit my jacket in it.

I would suggest an actual boot bag. I use the 50l dakine one and it is the perfect size for boots, helmets, goggles, gloves, masks, and other odds and ends. No space for jackets/pants. dakine and swix both make popular 75ish liter ones that would probably be large enough. Should fit everything nice.
30L is definitely far too small.
Also why are you trying to put your jacket/pants in with your boots? That's a recipe for wet and dirty gear.

Yeah boots + helmet in 30l is not gonna happen. I have 60l and it is pretty good size, can even fit a water bottle and and lunch box if needed for longer days.
Also, I have a separate boot bag that fits into the big bag, that is game-changer in keeping your stuff organized and especially clean

You talking about flying or to the local?
I just have a 30L duffle I got second hand, fits my helmet and two pairs of mitts plus two goggles.
Plus beacon, walkie, anything else I need easily. Boots and jacket I just pack out the bag.
For driving or flying I can stuff it with base layers pants and jacket, and then I just carry it on and carry my boots with me, always worked fine

Get yourself a boot bag, backpack, and a 80-100L duffel for trips. I carry everything in these pretty comfortably

Google says my trans pack is 43, which holds boots, helmet, a couple pair of gloves, goggles, small misc stuff, and 2 articles of clothing whether that may be a coat and pants or pants or a sweatshirt
