Has anyone ever bought the Ski Addiction jib kit?

$400 is steep but skiing is pay to win anyways. Imagining myself jumping around using this makes me cringe. Has anyone used this, did it help you?

those are pretty slick, i remember in HS we just used old skis/snowboards with duct tape on my buddies trampoline

We used the tramp skis at my boarding school. I mean its pretty nice and its a lot of fun. I just use a pair of old skis at home, but if you want to do flips or bigger spins, they are quite nice. With the jib bar idk tho.

If you have 400$ to burn sure. Looks like a solid product.

If you dont, you could probably put together the exact same setup with 100$ worth of materials.

Thinking of using my ski blades as the skis but i’m not sure what to use for the actual parking curb thing.

The tramp skis are legit. Copped a pair years ago and use them still in the summer time.

That seems like an enormous waste of money. Just put your ski boots on and practice jumping on and off a piece of wood? Even put some rubber on top of the wood (find a garbage car tire and cut it) and do it with your skis on.

I've used them a handful of times, and have to say they don't seem beneficial in any way. On trampolines they are pretty awkward too. If you want to train rails, you'd be better off to just get a slack line and practice your balance by jumping and spinning onto and off of it with just your feet.

Or better yet, if you have the yard space and the will to build something, take that $400 and make a sweet DIY backyard setup. You'll get way more real world skill and have a lot of fun doing it.

For tramp I still think yard sticks is the way to go. They have good length, light and they flex.

Anything with much weight just feels bulky to me on a tramp

I used them at woodward tahoe on the tramp once. I feel like you could get the same effect by putting ankle weights on your feet. They mainly just added swing weight. Without the forward momentum of actual skiing, the tramp skis didn't do much besides add weight

I feel like this is something only achievable in a situation where you already know how to do certain things on snow which the tramp skis will let you learn on trampoline.

IMHO they add just the right amount of bulk and swing weight to mimic the feel of skis in air, but there's definitely a stack of low hanging fruits and after you pick 'em up, there's a pretty steep angle on learning things with them.

I think it also depends a lot on what kind of tramp you have. On a big gymnastic trampoline a little weight just impacts your rotations and stuff. A little weight and weird things on your feet on a lot of people's backyard tramps and you aren't getting enough air to flip almost.

Yeah I presumed that the skis are being used on a proper tramp. Not necessarily a gymnastics one, but a premium backyard version at least. Gymnastics trampoline is the ultimatum of course.
