Any tips for my buddy doing backflips?

theabortionatorHoly shit, for starters, that is not a great jump for it at all. Don't fucking die. Jesus.
More speed, jump with significantly more pop. Jump isn't even big enough to learn 360s on.
2manyVitaminsSeems like he’s just leaning back and letting the jump throw his feet up instead of actually popping up and back if that makes sense he’s almost hitting his head on lip. Go shovel out the tramp and practice popping hard while the arms go up and back and looking back helps rotation for me lots. Make a Booter into pow if you can or try on bigger park jumps
SchizoSkierCommit, you’ll need a jump that’s like 10-30 feet, def would not backflip that jump
ski2626262622681Yeah we told him to pop harder, but these were our last 2 jumps before dinner. Is the jump good as is or should we bump our size up, Ill try to set up some pow with what snow we have left over here at east coast
TemetiusJump is backflippable, but would never learn on something like that. Way too little to learn on and no actual landing. Pop way more and actually try to backflip, hard to explain but dont just expect the jump to do the work
IsaacNW82P much what everyone in this thread is saying, that looks like a hard jump to learn flips on.
For your first backflip, easiest is to build a bigger lippy jump that does half the work for you until you get a feel for the rotation and spotting the landing. A lippy medium sized park jump in spring slush can be great for this too
