animatorUsername checks out these, two would be at the bottom of my list for chargey skis
kook_69Hey NS i am super torn between the K2 Reckoners 102s and the Volkl revolt 104s. I am 14 weigh like 135. I ski at squaw valley (Palisades Tahoe) Im on the big mtn team and am gonna be competing. I am looking for a playful but also chargy ski. Im not rly focused on park but i do a lot of butters and switch skiing. Pls help me.
BigPurpleSkiSuitId recommend a little wider platform for freeride in general, in the 110-115 range. If you want really chargey, revolt 114 is a great great ski, if you want more playful, Id go reckoner 112. In the middle though. I've been hearing great stuff about the Dynastar M-free 108
Upon re-reading with your height/weight Id highly recommend the M-free 108, plenty stiff and really fun

kook_69Have you heard anything about the nordica unleashed 98? Im lookin at it right now and it seems like a pretty sick all around ski. Also when it comes to underfoot width im not super into a mega fat ski, if anything ill chose a 90 something ski over a 100 somthing ski. thanks so much!
BigPurpleSkiSuitHaven't heard much about that one in particular but if you're looking at Nordica, the Enforcer series is nice and stable at narrower widths too. This is someone at the bird straightlining on the enforcer 88

C.R.E.A.MI am 6' 200 and my 102 reckoners definitely have a speed limit. I kind of like their noodle-y ness as it is predictable if that makes any sense? If you are racing and charging, you will likely max Reckoners out pretty fast. At 135 you may be good too, hard to say. Can you do a demo day at your local hill and try them out before you buy them?
kook_69I was thinking about demoing them, but im kinda broke rn lmao. But what do you ski when you are using ur recks, like do u ski mostly park on them or what.

Non_State_ActorAre you going to be up this Saturday?

Not many core brands but for $40 you should be able to get on a lot of skis.
kook_69I wont be up at squaw this Saturday i have a comp at rose. But thanks so much for the price i was wondering how much it would cost to demo skis.
Non_State_ActorI'm not sure I understand but the $40 covers the demos at that sports basement event. If you go to a regular shop it's like $40-50 usually and you only get one at a time. I'd suggest researching demo days at mountains around Tahoe and try to get to one of the event style where you can chat with sales reps and get on a bunch of different skis. Make sure to take notes.
Granite Chief ski shop in Truckee used to hold a big event at Squaw Valley Lodge...Palisades lodge or whatever the name is now, in the spring and the gave you a bomb lunch and everything. Had a lot of brands. May be worth phoning Granite Chief to see if the have that scheduled? I couldn't find anything online in a very brief search.
