Anyone got any tips on car rental for 3 weeks road trip starting and ending in NY? Will be covering around 1500 miles.

What kind of tips? Like make sure you get the yellow one? There aren’t exactly many tips to share regarding renting a car beyond get the size you want, make sure you’re at least 25, and do a full walk around the car to check for any dents/scratches while still at the car dealer.

Oh, and make sure you do a lot of donuts in it and try to jump it off something. It is a rental after all.

I was mainly looking for good car rental company tips, but these responses were way more entertaining than digging through actual car rental stuff..

If anyone does know a cheap but reliable car rental company with small price difference between the smallest and one size up car that would be great..

Biggest tip i can give is to make sure to get a car that has a working engine, transmission, tires, wheel, axles, windshield wipers, doors, trunk, electronics, sirius fm radio, bluetooth, speedometer, fuel gauge, seats, hood, seatbelt, cupholders and windows. Catalytic converter optional
