More specific has anyone ever Carried ski blades on as a carry on?

Tsa allows snowboards which have an edge through security as a carry on but mention nothing about skis through security as a carry on.

Bought some chipotle blades from moment. I’m flying out there end of the month. Wanted to bring my bindings for them to mount. Once I do that they cannot ship them due to the size with the bindings. So I have to get them home.

it’s over $100 to ship
$75 locally to mount if I have moment ship not mounted.

or i have moment mount them and hope airlines don’t give me shit about carrying them on. Or I guess tsa more so. But if they allow snowboards through how the fuck would they not be ok with ski blades.

Ya I’m already checking in two bags as is. I have a series 1 sports tube. I did a basic mock-up of what I’ll have to do to make it work.

im taking moment wildcats to get mounted as well. So basically on the return trip I’ll have to put one cat and one blade together with pivots and then the third ski is my gf’s atomics with systems so easily removable and can toss in bags. Basically mimic this in her and my sport tubes I should be good so I don’t have to try carrying them on. Still going to call tsa and get more details because they allows snowboards as carry on items and skate boards so I see no reason blades would be a big deal. Not too worried about the over head space. Dudes show up with guitars and all kinds of large things without issues.

TSA is cool with it, but I would bet that no airline would let you carry on a snowboard, where are you going to put it that is safe for the other passengers? theyd make you gate check that shit with no bag, seems like you should get a ski bag and check it.

but I’ve seen a few people carry on guitars on a couple of my recent flights (all southwest), and a guitar is 100% longer than ski blades.

My actual bag is stuffed. No room for blades. I’m having them mounted at moment. So I’m going to try and stuff them in my Sportube with my other skis ideally
