caveman31I am all for gatekeeping skiing and keeping new people who don't know what they're doing out of the sport. I think mountains should have skill tests for people above the age of 10 in order to keep out terrible skiers. Also swerve skiing looks stupid and so does baggy pants with fitted jackets. I don't believe in helmets. Hats are more comfy and look better.

SethoscopeThe best application of this idea i've seen was at some park in europe where they had a jump with fencing on either side at the top of the park, meaning you had to hit the jump to enter the park (I think someone made a thread on it?) That's the best way I've heard I'm surprised more mountains don't do it

SchoessYeah but that's just an idea in your head of what an "incompetent skier" is. No one likes lift lines or people in their way but the reality is, there's no good way to weed out only people that shouldn't be skiing a certain zone or something.
