I think how you're doing it is definitely fine, you can always experiment with other axis'. also @Trifes has a great tutorial on Cork 7 Blunt's on youtube I highly recommend

I would say just repetition and trying to do less of the 2 arm throw. Also grab blunt

My corks are fixed and now can easily grab blunt and the issue was I was rushing the set and not dropping my left shouldeer making it a mork not a cork.
