Really great fun skis, they’re starting to make a move into the north american market so you should start to see them around a bit more. I know a dude who’s ridden his ubac 95 for like 2 n half seasons now and still loves them.

I’ve got a kiddo in one of my classes who’s dad owns a shop in town and they’ve recently taken on a load of models from zag and will be continuing to do so in the future as they have proved to be so popular. He often shows up on that ski you rode there, it’s their demo setup and he says everyone who rides them always comes back to buy a pair or grab the demo again. Honestly don’t think you can go wrong and I’d personally love to try a pair.

That’s lit, definitely the most playful ski I rode at demo day. Exactly what I like in a soft buttery type of ski. The width was perfect for Vermont. I want my shop to get em but we don’t really get many people who would want a ski like that… big nordica enforcer vibes from the majority of our customers. Which is dope, I’m just happy to be there to help

I've been skiing the Slap 104 for 2 seasons now, and i can tell you that I've never skied a ski that can really do anything. I've been using them as my all mountain, park and powder ski. I've never had a ski that rolled up on edge more effortlessly and held like these do. They are soft enough to be playful and butter around on, but they can def hold an edge on harder snow too. I have the Slap 98's as well and love them too, but they are a little stiffer, also a very fun ski, but i would say check out the 104's.

I actually rode both sizes at demo day and liked the 104s much better. They kinda make butters easier. I wish I coulda hit rails on em but I wasn’t tryna demo the demo ski lol

Hmmm. I have slap 104 from 2017/2018. And I wouldn’t say it’s soft. The latest prodigy 3 or Volkl revolt 104 are much softer.


I’m wondering what else zag changed in that model. Looking into a blister review, I think my pair has less rocker at both ends, and a more rearward mount point (though I mounted mines at -7 from the true center)

Not too soft, just a real progressive type flex. I was skiing the Black Crow Camox for about 5 years before i got on the Slap 104 so i guess that's what i'm judging it against. I mount mine 2.5 back of dead center.

I've used their Ubac 95 for ski touring and steep gullies in Scotland. Great skis. Never got to ski the rest of their line up.

They are made in the same factories as some other euro brands. Nothing wrong with their construction, materials etc.

Safe buy.

Full disclosure. They reached out to me this year for an ambassadorship and sent me skis and poles for free. However I have very little other skin in the game other than to post content for them, which I can't do anymore because I just blew out my knee. However I did get to ride this season on the slap-112 until 10 days ago or so when I injured myself and love them. If there was any amount of soft snow to push around whatsoever they became my go to. Super playful, but stable enough to mach over some chowder. Easy to turn sideways. easy to turn period. Light. Love the fact that they do a lot to make their production sustainable too. They are not my favorite ski on hardpack, but I wouldn't expect them to be with their waist, shape, and layup. I still reach for skinnier skis with metal when we go through weeks of high pressure.

I patrolled on them and free skied on them so they saw a lot of abuse. The top sheets were not the most durable I've ever experienced, but not the least either. Bases seemed very durable for what I put them through.

On top of those I've skied/owned dynasty m-frees, black crows corvus, black crows animas, on3p woodsman, on3p billy goats, first gen on3p Jeffreys, and a handful of park skis. I would say the Slap 112 is very, very close to the anima in shape and build, though for some reason the Slap-112 clicks with me a lot better than that ski ever did, which I sold. I have seen that the newer animas had some design changes that I think would have addressed the problems I had with the old animas.

I'd place them among my favorite skis. There are some skis where I occasionally feel like I am fighting the shape, and this ski is not one of them. They do what I tell them to in the soft stuff.

Ski patroller at Kirkwood in tahoe, so skiing a variety of snow densities and plenty of steep terrain, rocky terrain.

Was unsure about them but got a great deal so took the risk. Glad I did. They seen similar in stiffness to an enforcer 100 just by hand flexing if anyone is looking for a flat tail all mountain. I might pick up the 106s for deeper days.

i see a bunch of them in norway, especially touring setups. they look very run of the mill though, nothing to me that sticks out from the rest.
might be some very fun skis though, will have to look further into them
