inb4 i’m retarded for stepping on my heels to release- Tyrolia attack 14, plastic shroud around the mounting point for the heel piece is super wiggly, wasn’t like that when I got them. I know attacks can be finicky to mount and this plastic piece never sits fully flush even when properly mounted but this is not confidence inspiring. Is this piece pretty much there just to eat damage and doesn’t matter for the actual structural integrity of the binding or should I take them in to my shop before I go out again this wknd?
Those plastic pieces are more cosmetic and the important part is that you have the back metal feet under the rear mounting screws flush to the ski. Looks like yours are pretty good and see glue residue out of the holes which is another good sign. You’re good to go!
The issue is when there’s a large gap between the rear metal feet and the ski which is common unfortunately on these bindings.

Only damage stepping on heels to release will do is cosmetic unless you're stomping the shit out of your bindings. Also may slightly damage your bases but that shouldn't matter unless they're race skis.
