Where to ski Alta?

My aunt and uncle are hooking me up with a few days at Alta this weekend and was hoping to get some advice. Ive skied out there once in December a few years ago, but obviously with the season Utahs been having conditions are going to be way different. I know what's good with the general zones and where the good skiing will be, but want to get a better idea of some of the classic lines/hits that I might not be able to see from the lifts. Im comfortable skiing all terrain and have skied some big lines at Squaw. I'm a kook from California so if you dont want to give up too much of the goods, general descriptions will play just fine just looking for opportunities to get a little puckered and hopefully scare my aunt and uncle.

if your looking to get hot lap a jumpline wildcat is the go-to, you can see most of the hits from the chair. outside of that, just take the High T out and explore, High boy, thirds, north rus, anything really. If ballroom is open thats always a good time with a couple hits. also devils castle and east castle are great when they're open. Personally my favorite spots are Catherines and Cecret chutes off castle.

I skied almost exclusively wildcat last time I was out there, it really doesnt get old. Good to know about castle and seems like ill have to spend a whole day on high T alone

Contrary to what you see in edits, there is soo much more to Alta than wildcat and the high T.

Alta does have more defined freestyle/jump line spots than bird, but not by much. Snowbird beats Alta on length of runs and general terrain. Both are amazing places to ski, I've just made my home at Snowbird also because they allow snowboarders which is what some of my friends do.

Just lap the gnarly chairs and ask some people who look good if you can tag along. Great way to explore new resorts and find the goods

You could lap nothing but wildcat for the whole trip and still find new shit on the last day

That’s what I did last time I was there especially with low snow they just have a huge base rn so I was hoping to get into some bigger lines

You won't find any big lines on wildcat.

Thanks for the help, didn’t see the sun once and no hikes were open but still jumped off some things and had snow hit me in the face. Even stood on top of church but my goggles were too foggy (at least I’ll keep telling myself that)
