StellagoliaYeah I agree ngl because I saw no one was ever attempting it and I was just like tf
TRVP_ANGELThe real surprise here is that a park still has a half pipe
theabortionatorGood to hear they still have a pipe. Pipes can be big brick ice death looking things especially on the east. Start mellow. Can carve it even but a small even shitty air isn't too bad and fun. As you get confidence take a little more speed in.
Pipes are a lot about your edges and the angle you tske in. Even in the drop you'll see people kind of do a turn and almost or actually jump off it. Thats a bad line and will kill all your speed. Riding along the deck to the spot you want to drop in. Getting a smooth transition and then getting on edge going across the pipe. If you hold a good edge, take a good line,
you can go decently uo there without a ton of speed.
I think going with less speed till you're confident is a good way to built up proper technique. If you go too fast and scrub speed or change your line it's fine, but not a great habit. Go in slow at first, choose a line and comit. Even if you're 5 feet below the coping. You can work off that till youre at coping, then start to go above if you feel like it.
Pipes are really fun and it's a bummer to see them all go. Hope you
dig it and have some fun in there!
