officechairDavinci resolve is great (and free). It’ll do all you need.
thankagaperWell dang , it seems to good to be true, but that's how I felt when I first found NS... (Although the actual first try, I spelled it newschooler.com and there was no Google... And it was a year later before I logged in...)
I'm going to try the free download on the Alienware, and if it's good the studio since affordable....! Can't wait to cgi!
Have you used any other software to compare it to?

officechairI’ve tried many of the free ones and this is definitely the best. It can handle video rotation without compressing to lower quality, which was hard to find a few years back at least. Useful when someone films in portrait or upside down with a GoPro accidentally (it’s happened…)
