K2 Reckoner 102 vs Line Sir Francis Bacon (+ others?) for Moguls/Trees, side hits

I mainly ski moguls, trees, steeps, having fun everywhere, jumping everything in sight. Never in the park, but I jump a lot. All Colorado inbounds.

Currently between the K2 Reckoner 102 or Line SFB (107).

Currently riding Armada ARV 106-- looking for something more fun / less chargy / easier to whip in the trees and moguls.

Reckoner is enticing because it's narrower... but SFB has much tighter sidecut, also enticing! So, given that, which would be better for my skiing? Total toss-up.

Others in mind:
- Faction Prodigy 3.0
- ON3P Jeffrey 102
- Moment Deathwish 104
- ??? you tell me

A similar ski I demoed was Volk Revolt 104 and it was funner than my ARVs on moguls but noticably no energy popping off side hits, and I've heard the Reckoners have more energy in that realm, so nix the Revolts

Also I'm 6'3" but since I'm focused on trees & moguls I do like the 184 length vs. my current 188 ARVs

my reckoners are really fun in the stuff your describing. keep in mind they do not have the best durability record lol, but mine have held up for nearly 2 years.

I agree. Keep in mind OP is comparing them against the SFB which is also not exactly the pinnacle of durability.

The Jeffries and deathwishes are probably more cHarvey than your ARVs, so if your goal is a softer and less serious ski, don’t go for those. Both sick skis tho, and imo the best out of the ones listed by a huge margin

Prodigy 3.0s are the shit. Really good allround ski. Better durability than Line and the reckoners. I wouldn't recommend buying reckoners if you don't ski any park.

At least the Jeffries have more play than the Woodsmans, from what I've read.

I'm looking for a more flexible ski because I like playing around slower vs. charging but TBH there's a possibility I get a softer ski and hate it... I won't know until I try it really

I'm on a pair of older k2 shreditor 102 (similar to the recks) and recently got a pair of woodsman 96 and jeff 110. I can confirm that the jeffs are much more playful than the woods (mainly because of mount point) and more in line with a reckoner/shreditor style. I do think that the jeff 102 would be great for what you described (jumping off stuff, moguls, trees) since they're very supportive and have a longer turning radius which is good for steeps and moguls.

TLDR I'd lean towards the jeff 102, having ridden the shreditor 102 and jeff 110. Can't comment on the lines since I've never ridden them.
