Looking for a new ski and binding selection. I’ve been pretty out of the loop the past few years in terms of ski gear. I’ve been riding Al dentes for the past ~10 years. First pair was 168 and current is 178. I’m an advanced skier located in the north east (PA) but split my skiing up 50% out west (Colorado, Utah) and 50% back home. I Ski majority freestyle/free ride, trees, and like hitting jumps and drops. Will ski park a little bit when on east coast if conditions are very poor.
there’s so many brands, on3p, armada, line, surface, 4frnt, rmu, vishnu, etc so im pretty stumped here.
Will I benefit from a skinnier ski? Im feeling that for tight turns and maneuverability I might benefit (less effort to get up on edge)
Will I benefit from a stiffer ski? I’ve always been used to a super soft ski so can’t recall the last time I’ve ridden something super stiff.
In terms of bindings, I’ve been riding the look pivot 14’s here. They seem pretty heavy, would I benefit from a lighter binding?
Thanks!
