Stretching

I know I should be like kinda warming up and stretching to prevent some injuries, but I don’t know specifically what or how. Is it just like getting blood flow through parts of your body prior to use or are there actually stretching routines that help prevent injury that I can do before I ski?

Groin pull is the one to avoid IMHO and I usually stretch at least 10 to 15 seconds side to side while getting off the lift just to avoid that .

I never stretch, I find that a mellow couple first laps gets me loosened up all the same. I probably should stretch though

You want to move around to get the blood flowing and warm up your body, and for stretches you want to go dynamic to open your range of motion.

Don't remember where I heard this so any actual PT's feel free to correct me, but you should stick to dynamic warm ups (leg swings, hip circles, etc) before skiing to get things ready and static stretching after to improve flexibility

stretch groin area a lot and use band aids on cuts

Cycling to ski hill and easy stretch also helps to get legs going.
