Deciding to stand down on future shitposts. @eheath doesn't deserve this anymore and anyone coming here should try and be decent.

I am truly thankful for this website (what it was, what it is, what it will be)

Revived my involvement in NS a few years in a drunken stupor and just never stopped hobby shitposting.

I do miss when things were a LITTLE less moderated, but I digress. Apologies to @eheath and others - chad is standing down.

I can't think of the last time I really went near a gun thread. Have a gun, have 2, pew pew pew, nobody cares.

Weird that a website being like "Can people not call each other gay or f****t?" somehow gets you and other people into this weird oppressed mode. Place is pretty chill. The maybe 5 people that have a problem with that don't generally contribute much here anyway. If there's some better place go there. You'll sit here and complain about how bad it is, at the end of the day, you're still here all the time.

I'm moving back to Australia till the fall. Is that close enough?

You do delete Posts though. You've deleted plenty of mine. Some of which probably needed to be deleted, but some you just didn't like but had validity.

read the forum rules, the final rule is that mods can delete anything they think should be removed.

Yeah that's it. Pretty much the mods get an alert that a thread is conservative. Thread gets deleted or replaced with a more liberal thread on the topic.

It's all part of the plan...

People saying things get deleted for political reasons while working on making another thread a dumpster fire of angry posts.

The politics isn't the issue. Its the mix of really angry people and shitty trolls. If a thread is completely fucked it might get deleted. Whether its something political or a thread about rollerskates that derailed.

It seems like NS is probably one of the more open old school forums that still exists, which is why people stay but I don't get being that angry.

It's not the politics, it's the shitshow of a bunch of really angry people with big time douche vibes. Instead of moving on you just get angrier. This us verse them thing is just whack. It's all the mainstream media!!! Not like fox is hugggggeeee. Something something damn librawls!!!
