Yeah that's right. Tax deductible, buddy https://www.thebalancemoney.com/what-business-advertising-expenses-are-deductible-398945#:~:text=Advertising%20and%20promotional%20expenses%20are,of%20your%20total%20startup%20costs.That means those companies who can afford it, simply are writing this shit off as a tax deduction anyway. That deficit has to come from somewhere else, just like how we had to make up for the massive corporate tax break a few years ago. It gets all mixed around and you pay more somewhere else. Cool huh? It's fun to be naive and clueless about all the fucked up shit like this. Starting to think qazxsw might not be entirely crazy.
I entered this rabbit hole after reading a Lancet series about the commercial formula milk industry and its suuuuuuper sketchy influence on all sorts of politics, policies, including family leave of which the US trails nearly every other developed nation on (https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/12/16/u-s-lacks-mandated-paid-parental-leave/), and the industry's harmful impact on infant mortality worldwide. The interesting part is this article series points out how this industry actually costs society more money than it makes the industry.

Again, fun to be naive that corporations are the real rulers of the world.
