JITYI’m very sad about this, some 12 year old that couldn’t hit rails asked me yesterday where he could buy Vishnus. Might have to find a new cool ski company. Vishnus are getting Saga-ified.
bingingbouldersIt’s cool just don’t stop making 189’s
BLandzI want Vishnu to go corporate its in good hands wont turn into Line

JITYNah I’m just protecting the core
CoolChillGuy420Wild how two Utah-based companies joined forces together....
I think it's so funny hearing you kids say "ToO CoRpOraTe, not cool anymore " with your ass growing up in suburban USA
bingingbouldersHomie I grew up in Vermont, and I never said it wasn’t cool, in fact it’s excellent for the brand as a whole.

CoolChillGuy420Ahh so you're yet another rich east coaster kid. Got it.
isaacwrongIt's all a business move..as mentioned by emmett, v's catching attraction is good for business but it can be detrimental to the evangelist (basically a day 1 supporter, og, real 1). The less they feel attached and apart of a selective crew and identify less because it's mainstream

dwt802IMO the Vishnu day 1s should have went through that a minute ago, in like 2018-2020 when Vishnu really began to explode.
After somewhere around then, it was less longer a community even though they kept that image. That’s why so many kids started dick riding Vishnu: they wanted to feel part of that underground selective crew that wasn’t mainstream.
meanwhile, we have kids who bought vishnus in the last few years are in this thread bitching that this small change, retailing skis in 1 shop locally is that turning point of no longer being that niche image, nah dawgs that shit happened a long time ago. This is a great and logical move based on where the company is modernly.
point being this shouldn’t be the moment people are realizing Vishnu isn’t the extremely small unique thing it was the first few years of its existence, it already blew up heavily leading to this move.

bogustThis is the track of ski companies right? like ON3P used to be what Vishnu is today but then they became more mainstream, same with line and armada when they got bought out. I'm happy for Emmet and if people are so deadest on owning skis from only underground companies they can still buy jets or wait for the next company to come along
hi_vis360On3p actually builds skis so their business model is pretty different from brands like Vishnu armada line etc who outsource production. Also on3p mainstream?? I see way more pairs of Vs on the slopes and it’s not even close
steez_apprenticedepends where you're skiing, in vermont I find a lot more ON3P riders than I do vishnu riders to be honest
hi_vis360Huh Maine is a big Vishnu scene, guess we aren’t as fancy as you rich Vermonters lmao
(I own Vs and on3ps for the record)
steez_apprenticeI ski mostly in New Hampshire and see a lot more of a vishnu crowd if I was only looking at ON3P vs Vishnu, but that's mainly due to the younger scene that I typically see at my mountain
SessionNobody gate keeps harder than suburban midwest kids that ski repurposed land fills for their 2 month ski season.

SlowbroFuck off my repurposed land fill has a 6 month season

weatcoastTf where
SlowbroCOP in Calgary , November to April
weatcoastAhh Canada makes sense.
I was gonna say no one in Midwest US can do that but my dumbass didn’t realize November-April is actually 6 months lol.
JITYSkiing in April?
that’s normal?
All our snow is melting right now and its February
SessionIt's so funny to me seeing this perspective on ON3P when so much of their market is not park skis.
levelninesportsWatch out big scary corporation L9 is coming to ruin all your favorite core brands
