How wide do you open your legs before going in for a spin?

This is about what I do, but it kind of hurts my groin area (my nuts). should i try to go wider? it looks badass when you split em wide. Also how do i get it to not hurt my nuts? feels like they are going to rip.

talked to him a couple days ago. word on the street is that he opens them until his edges are permanently dug into the snow. very steezy rider. reminds me of luke votaw.
