muffMan.How I feel like it’s gonna be for me. Just get a wide jefferey
Never ridden chetlers but yeah the lightness is what held me back. I love rippin through crud and if they are like reckoners then way too soft for me.
The bananas interest me just cause of the shape compared to the bibbys. A lil more freestyle sounding and lots more rocker. Gonna message moment probably
Sounds then like what you're looking for is Bibby/Wildcat stability but with slightly softer tips for better pow performance and a maybe a little less weight (but not too much less) for a more playful feel? Hmm... Gotta think on that one. Volkl Revolt 121, maybe? They're a bit heavier, but here's a sampling of the comparison with the Wildcat from Blister. Sounds like it's what you're looking for:
"The Revolt 121 is a bit like a more freestyle-oriented Wildcat...Revolt 121 for a more balanced, freestyle-focused ride, or Wildcat for a slightly more directional one."
Maybe you'll like the Bananas, but despite my personal love for them they're just not for everyone. I
definitely wouldn't call them "more freestyle" than the Bibby/Wildcat. At 5'10"/165 I can barely bend the tips enough for a proper nollie/butter, and the stiffness contributes to some float issues at low to medium speeds. Float isn't a problem once you get going - it's even less if you mount a cm or so back from the line (though that obviously diminishes their balance and playfulness) - but they're not as instantly surfy as you'd expect for a 122mm waist ski. They also have a really odd sweet spot that's great once you find it but will weird you out for a few runs as you get used to them, especially if you tend to ride forward and drive through your tips. If you're more upright and balanced, though, they fucking rip.
