Do y’all prefer skiing with joysticks or none. Personally I feel like skiing with joysticks just looks better and more steezy.

QuaggyShort poles > no poles > long poles
JITYShort poles are better because you can spin faster
Side note: would it be dumb to fill your poles with sand to make them heavier

BackseatBallsackMine are filled with pubes.
270on420outWhy would you ever want to ski with short poles is beyond me. You get all the disadvantages of using poles and literally none of the benefits.

EvanMeyerShort poles just looks goofy, either get comfortable with poles that are a decent length or ski without poles. Riding with toothpicks in your hands isn’t helping anything.
PeppermillRenoReally short poles sure.
But the ideal pole length for actually skiing is to be just too short for using them to effectively push you. Adjustables are nice.
armchair_skierIf only I knew someone who knew how to work a pole
DominatorJacquesShine on poles. Just two more things to hurt yourself with no matter how long!
SwitchJibNever thought about that but it sounds like a decent idea. I feel like there is something better than sand to use tho.

TuckoA. Thanks for convincing me to continue skiing without poles
B. How did that go through so cleanly with the basket still on?
DominatorJacquesAs the story goes, the pole broke, and then impaled the guy. They cut it shorter to remove it, so the basket never went through.
JITYScary scary scary
do you know the person?

corkfive@DominatorJaques How does this even happen??? Your baskets are like perfectly fine but somehow managed to go through your leg. That’s bewildering. I don’t use poles, but like I want to hear a whole story behind this because I’m questioning all of reality.
Edit: Also, howd it heal up?

CT_CREWSo is there a meat stick inside that pole?
