jompcockMy wets are at -.5 which I like a lot.
CowboySkibopAnything other than dead center on vishnus is a crime lol
they are all made to be mounted center. I mean do what u want but center Mount will get u the most out of ur skis
jompcocktbh the SYMMETRICAL SKIS NEED TO BE CENTER MOUNTED is bullshit. If you're riding the way you should your weight is gonna be ahead of the sidecut center and mounting less than 2cm behind center isn't gonna throw off your balance. Mogul skiers are ripping cork 14's on skis mounted like 8-15cm behind center.
I don't care what someone says they made something to be used for. I'm still gonna put q tips in my ears and turn my dins above what some risk adverse pencil pusher put on a chart.

ASSholebomber22All depends on how you like to ski, but boot center in the middle of the sidecut makes the most sense no matter the ski.
jompcockCare to explain why? If weight is over the ball of my foot/foreword of that, then with a center mounted ski my weight is in front of sidecut center. I've ridden center mounted V's before and felt a slight difference but only the tails felt slightly softer and turns in trees felt a little easier. Noticed no difference spinning on jumps and rails but like I said I was only -.5 from center. I probably wouldn't move further back than that on any symmetrical ski.
If you ski and carve with a more upright stance then yeah true center makes sense.
ASSholebomber22The idea is you can equally weight your foot front and back and roll your ankles to engage sidecut. Too far front or back and no matter how much you weight toes or heels you'll be fighting the sidecut trying to get it to engage.
But for small adjustments, 2cm or less is prob fine depending on if you want to weight the balls of your feet or heel more.
If you ever rode a park ski at a crazy far back rec or a traditional ski center mounted you may have felt what I'm talkin about
Also to add: with traditional mounted skis with a rec of -11 your boot center will still be at or near the center of the sidecut.

jompcockThen I guess I agree on 2cm or less. I see a lot of people mounting the Armada Stranger at like -1 which puts it about 7cm in front of sidecut center fwiw.
