Nose butter ski help

So my skis keep releasing me when I try nose but not when I tail. I also noticed that the rear din is +1 .5 higher than my fronts. Is this normal? Or should I raise the din on fronts?


should I also raise the dins up by +1 after wards or nah

you can find an calculator online which will tell you your din. if you still pop out, raise it by .5, repeat.

Your DIN should always be the same in the front and back, it defeats the purpose otherwise

I'd like to know some other opinions but from what I've been told as a tech your DIN should always be the same front and back and it makes sense to me. Why do you need them to be different?

Why would you crank the toes if your heels are the ones that keep releasing. Most skiers arent doing nose butters or landing switch off big jumps so the dont have the same need for heel retention. Cranking your toes just because you need more retention in the heels makes no sense.

No. I’ve had shops set pivot toes and heels separately based on the Feedback they get from the din test

Yeah, if a shop did a release test on them the may have adjusted the fronts and rears separately to obtain consistent release values.

Where did the skis come from and also what binding are we talking about?
