He's an influencer not a pro skier. Brands like dope and montec are influencer brands, it makes sense.

Honestly good analogy but they’re not a respectable company objectively via the eyes of a tru passionate skier so the hate is warranted. They did do a great job as a capitol company however taking advantage of ignorance so if you’re into companies that care only about growth and money yeah they’re doing great.

Now you see both companies "supporting" creators and riders but only after they received backlash for not doing so. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't even paying Steep steep.
People try to play the "its only a jacket, why does it matter?" card but at the end of the day when support is given to companies who don't value the ski community and culture, its not given to companies who do support skiing. I should've done my own research before asking this question. I see the parallels. At least Cariuma is trying to make sustainable shoes. Maybe a more green purchase than Lakai's or any other skate shoes, regardless of "core" status. Could also just be greenwashing idk.
i didnt know what they were either but just looked em up. theyre a b corp so they at least put their money where their mouth is. wouldnt call it greenwashing imo, just another basic looking brand
