ON3P Mango or Jeffrey

Just blew an edge on my armada arv96s and am in the market for a new ski.

I’m looking for an all mountain park ski. I probably do 50% park and 50% all mountain. I was looking at the Mango 100s but haven’t heard much about them yet. I was also looking at the Mango 110 but I feel like those might be a bit wide for the park. How to these skis compare to the ARV 96s flex wise?

I’m also considering the Jeffrey 102s. How would they compare to the mangos.

I’m 5’10” 190lb currently riding 177. Should I go 181 or 186?

Any info is appreciated!!

I love the jeffereys, also helps to look at past threads, the magnus and mango are pretty similar. I read the mango is a tad softer but not much.

Mangos are really fun but I'd get the Jeffreys if you are doing a good amount of stuff outside the park. Jeff's are great for park skiing too.

Also OP I'd go 186 if you like to go fast. I skied both 100 and 108 widths for a while and it wasn't a problem ever. I do wish I got mango 90s tbh because I do have several skis in the 100s but for a do-it-all ski, 100 would be perfect for you

Jeff 102 mounted -2 or -2.5 will do anything and everything you want on any given day and you'll love it. I love my mangos too but they're a park weapon. The Jeff can really terrorize everything a bit better imo. Also agree, 186 is a great length.

Edit: wanted to add I'm 6' 230lbs and I have both 181 and 186 skis. The extra length isn't combersome to me as a "comfortable" skier who skis park, pow, cliffs, trees and anything I can get my hands on. The 186 will help with stability at speed and a smidgen of float on pow days. The 181 will whip your 5 swaps a tad faster and rip trees a bit easier. Don't get too hung up on length, just decide which characteristics best suit how you ski the majority of days.

So what I’m understanding is the mango is more of a park ski and doesn’t ski all mountain as well? Is it much softer than the Jeffrey? Will buttering be more difficult on the Jeffrey’s? I know both skis have a good amount of rocker but how is the flex on each ski?

So I see that you own both skis. Would you say the mango doesn’t ski as well outside the park? Also how would you say the Jeffrey acts on rails? I never really skied anything in the park wider than 96. Just to my basic knowledge a 102 ski would be harder to do swaps and such or am I wrong with the statement.

Nah I learned swaps on my Jeffrey 108s they're just fine. The mango 100s are a little easier to spin on rails and butter, but I learned it all first on the bigger Jeffs. The mangos feel a little too loose for my taste when going fast through moguls, hitting cliffs, and in some other situations. The Jeff's honestly have no downside in the park, you just get a little more tired throughout the day throwing down.

Jeff's shape and recommended mount point are a bit farther back. They also seem less symmetrical nose to tail than the mangos do which is great for all mountain. for me it's hard to really tell some differences because my mangos are mounted true center vs -4ish on my Jeff's. That being said, switching between the two it doesn't take any time to get used to one another.

The thing is, the Jeffery is really the perfect all around ski. It's a great balance of so many things. Most of the rest of their ski lineup is skis more tailored to one specific aspect of skiing. The Jeffery is designed to do it all.

Just wait for more factory finds to pop up. always a better deal and sometimes funky skis pop up. Get mango/magnus 102s if they pop up. I have the mango topsheet magnus 102s and they're great for all around ripping.

Got it. I think I’m leaning more towards the Jeffrey’s. When you say the mangos are looser I’m assuming you mean they don’t feel as stable on bumps and when bombing it down the mountain. Would you say they are much softer compared to the Jeffrey? Thanks, sorry for all the questions just want to make the right decision if I’m going to spend that much money on a ski

another thing to keep in mind is that the mangos come with a park detune which you may or may not want if you're skiing all over the place

yeah they're softer, lighter, and like @Schoess said, the jeffreys are a tad more directional, meaning they ski other terrain better than the mangos. I get asking a lot of questions, because it's definitely a bit of a bigger purchase than say, some vishnus or something else that'd most likely be great but is more affordable. But the on3ps are both great, I mean it's really just in the fine details of how they're different. You'd be well off either way, but go with the jeffs
