Pivot binding help

I have the armada edollo (98mm) and pivot bindings with 115mm brakes. They stick pretty far out such that when I make a nice turn the brakes drag in the snow and you can actually feel it.


Has anyone else gad this issue and fixed it? Any suggestions?

my shop doesn't want to mount 95 brakes on a 102 ski. getting close to the limit without bending which I get why they wouldn't want to have to bend the brakes. Will find out tomorrow when the tech is in. Only shop in my area that carries pivots or else I'd probably go elsewhere.
But anyway 98 is like the perfect spot for 95 brakes.

Try bending them up away from the snow and inward if possible. Find a way to heat it up to make it bend easier if need be.

Assuming you own both 95mm and 115mm bindings you could have the shop mount the skis to the 115mm and then unscrew the binding and swap over to your 95mm at home, it can be done with simple hand tools (just don't forget a bonding compound in the bolt holes!)
Or if you don't own the 95mm yet, you could buy them and bend them to fit the ski and bring em back, the shop doesn't need to know you bent the binding to fit, as long as it fits I'm sure they'll mount 'em.
Or you could source some spare 95mm brakes/plate and just swap over the dildo piece from your 115mm and mount 'em

This is really the right way to do it.. almost. Don't bend it down after it's out to the side. Put a big screwdriver against the edge and wrap the brake back using the screwdriver as a spacer between the brake and the side/edge of the ski. The less bending the better. This should fix your problem.

The dude at the shop was adamant that my 95 brakes wouldn’t work on my 105 skis. I kept telling him it would, do what you have to. Came back and he gave them to me mounted up

I have 95 pivots that just went on a 106 Prodigy 3.0 with no issues. Just bent them out slightly (really does not take much). No issues with them getting stuck up, and they tuck out of the way nicely. Any decent shop should be able to mount +/- 10mm roughly from a binding's brake size.
