r00kieLine seems to have lost a lot of their identity as a brand. Pollard leaving was a huge loss and the quality issue hurts a lot. Bring back "Keep Skiing Weird" Line and skis like my old Step Ups that were fricken tanks and I'm a buyer. Also, you all should have been paying Andy way more all these years.

migidimigiHave you used their new skis like sakana, blade, blade optic and so on?
Sakanas are the most weird and inspiring skis I've had in last 5 years and skiing them is an absolute blast every time!
In my mind park skis have reached their peak and development is only incremental, look elsewhere and you find true innovation

Turd__AuthorityStill cool enough to karma farm by shitting on Line. Y'all sound like a bunch of butthurt fanboys "wahh Eric pollard wahhhhhhh". This subject is getting to be as monotonous as "wHat sKi sHouLd i bUY?" It seems to be a great NS past time analogous to recommending ON3P for every ski gear question or saying "full tilt" every other post like a goddamn retard.
Line's durability can only be measured by the materials and construction of the skis themselves. Any anecdotal story of durability is the equivalent of a case report, which is the lowest reliable form of data. Every situation and every single aspect of that situation is different. Any ski can die in a day, and any ski can last years. It's purely situational. The only way to compare one ski to another is in a controlled environment with no other factors than the ski itself. Even then, each individual ski brand/model varies and even within each ski, there will be subtle differences. This durability testing would have to be tested tons of times to be certain and no one has the funds to do that. Maybe we should have demolition ranch do us a wildly unscientific test.
These discussions are dumb. Literally saw a durability post the other month comparing skis with the exact same bases saying one is more prone to core shots -_-
It's coincidence until proven otherwise folks.
If you think they're so shitty, then don't buy them. Simple. Or stop buying beer, weed, and/or coffee for a few months, and pony up the cash for skis you deem durable.
Tldr: durability arguments are stupid and irrational.

NewsheepersIf you still buy line is 2023 you're hopeless, and honestly who am I kidding your mom's paying for that shit ever since you saw jackson carstarter riding them on tiktok. But in that case you'll prolly never have an issue with them cuz you can't even slide a tube. So yes line is still cool to 10-12 year olds
cyphersis that why you proceeded to write an essay about how much you want line's meat in your mouth?
Christian_BaleI agree that the perceived durability of a ski generally comes down to anecdotal evidence. But if I buy skis from a company and they snap/delam quickly, and then I keep hearing more bad things from other people in person and online, then I'm going to arrive at a certain conclusion. That's just the way it is. Having scientific data would be dope but I do put some trust in anecdotal evidence, because it's better than nothing. Considering k2 reckoners for instance: I don't know or understand much about their construction at all, but I've seen enough pairs get quickly destroyed in person that I would never buy them.
Turd__AuthorityLove their meat
My point was that using anecdotal evidence to make conclusions is wrong. If it was right to make conclusions off case reports, we'd all be on ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine by now. Y'all do you. I'm just saying it's stupid and we all are entitled to our opinions no matter how unpopular or irrational.
Christian_Balei agree it would be stupid to make conclusions based on anecdotal evidence in medical cases, but that's because there's actual scientific data to use instead. In the case of ski durability, we don't have that.
Turd__AuthorityYou're reiterating my point but clearly not getting it. Oh well
hi_vis360I’m calling it now
if they get rid of “thin tip” technology, their skis will stop snapping. It’s that simple.
My first twin tips were the original chronics in 04. Tons of guys I grew up skiing with rode lines as well. I NEVER saw a pair of lines snap until they introduced “thin tip” technology. Then they seemed to snap all the time.
Honestly I think line has known this for a while. But if they made their skis thicker and more durable, they would be heavier, and for the past 10 or so years ski design has been light = good. I think that is finally ending, I hope. Cause line could make bomber skis if they wanted to, they have the ability, I just think they have lacked the will in recent years.
supremeblienteleI snapped a pair of those all wooden after bangs back in the day, honestly that ski was bound to break looking back in hindsight. Also snapped a pair of 08 invaders
