have a lot of love for my smaller home mountain in South Lake Tahoe. Extremely local and the vibes are just unreal compared to anywhere else i've skied. It is the stomping grounds for hella pros such as Maddy Boyman, Hannah Teter, Jamie Anderson, Kyle Smaine, and even Eileen Gu who used to rip around here hella. It is more of a park based mountain and has very creative, skateparkish parks that give you unlimited options. If any of you have seen Level 1's "Romance" and the park shoot with the massiveeee fucking kicker, that was Sierra. One of the recent Slvsh Cups was here as well as Superunkown a few years back. I never hear anybody talking about this mountain especially on newschoolers and wanted to know if any of y'all have been here as well as what are your opinions on it. Would love to hear what you all think. If your from the Tahoe area come get some laps in my insta is in my bio.
Side note: I just got my wisdom teeth out and am still high as fuck I hope that made sense.
Sierra is super dope. Really blows that it burned down and they had to clear-cut West bowl. It is looking pretty rough. But it is amazing they are able to continue operations.

yeah super sad about the fire and westbowl. tbh i like westbowl more now cus on powder days it's more wide open. The one good thing about the fire is we have more room for park and they are finally thinking about putting bashful back in.
Never made it down there. Was thinking of trying to work there when I was in Tahoe. WAs hard to get places working grave shift. I actually was lined up to go my last season there but covid shut everything down before I could make it. Was trying to get the spring laps in everywhere. Win some lose some. Would love to make it there eventually.
Sucks all the issues they've had with the fire but glad they were able to reopen. Place seems rad.

sadly thats what happened to a lot of people. Definitely try and make it out here and to kirkwood as well. I dont know how much park you ski, but if your super into it you'll love it here. You take 1 10 minute 4pack chair and you have access to 4-5 different parks. Some with more of a flowy skatepark vibe, some with big kicker lines, the list goes on. Its a vibe for sure, spring laps here fuck. before the fire we had a modified halfpipe with hips and rails on top of it shit was tight

I, later, won a Sierra hat somewhere that didn’t fit my head (so I gave it away) but I still use this Sierra cup (idk where it came from).

I haven't been to Sierra since it was Sierra Ski Ranch way back when I was a child. Might have been on ski blades at the time.
sierra is rad. it has the same sort of vibe as homewood or diamond peak. it is totally underrated and has super fun tree skiing but with a better park.
Fall 2017 if I remember correctly. They were way too fun. You’d just drink and party and get free stuff for doing barely anything. One memory that sticks out is we handed out the drink cups to the vendors and they were giving us pre-rolls, comp tickets, etc. I was like “we’re not doing anything but giving you a cup??” Lol
I think it was at Pier 35 in SF that year. They had these BMX guys hitting a pipe indoors and a fake snow setup with a rail.
